Superyacht Engine Service works on main engines and generator sets aboard superyachts, support vessels and commercial ships. We are not a general marine contractor — engines, drivetrain alignment and auxiliary power are the whole job, which is why the diagnosis tends to be quicker and the reporting more precise than a general yard team can offer.
The company is the superyacht division of Marine Service Altena B.V., a Dutch marine engineering business with years of experience on demanding commercial and yacht engine work. We are an independent service provider and not an authorised dealer of any engine manufacturer.

Our focus is superyachts of roughly 30 metres and above and commercial vessels, but we regularly service tenders, chase boats and support craft belonging to those vessels, and we take on smaller commercial work where the engines fall in our expertise.
Yes, on request. Europe is where we work most and can respond fastest; for vessels further afield we quote travel per case and support crews remotely in the meantime.
Frequently. We are comfortable operating inside someone else’s scope and client relationship, following the yard’s procedures and reporting through you.
Per scope wherever the scope can be defined — diagnosis, service or overhaul — with travel and parts identified separately. Emergency attendance is quoted per case with an indication before we travel.
A written record: measurements taken, work performed, parts fitted, test or sea trial results and recommendations for the next interval, in a form you can pass to an owner, manager, surveyor or insurer.
